Another high quality work by Faibhar, with the usual attention to details and historic background. Although it has its similarity to his earlier work "crvicifixion", I found the agonies the heroine went through more "realistic" in the sense that the torturers made it impossible for her to fight back. For example, I always think that it is quite impossible for anybody to force a slave to orally service anyone - for one thing, she can bite! The cruel way to solve this problem was described in the beginning of this story. It is a bit extreme for me, but it is a plausible solution in an age when lives of prisoners were entirely at the mercy of their captors. As described in the introduction, fans of antiquity will enjoy this story immensely. (8/10)
