delicious...absolutely delicious. i completely disagree with the previous reviewer. i think you manage to pull off a tricky writing style with flair and finesse. i want more....is there more? please...post.... (10/10)

The author has an excellent command of language and writes well. However I didn't find his manner of story-telling (an alternating first person method) to be particularly effective. Much of the story is repetitive, with Michiko recapitulating events from her point of view after Kane has narrated them. I think that the same purpose could be accomplished using a more conventional third person approach, but it is good to see a fresh approach to a story, even if it is one that is not (IMO) entirely successful. <br>I must also say that I'm generally not fond of stories in which a rape victim become a willing accomplice in her own enslavement. It's difficult for me to imagine that happening in real life (absent prolonged psychological pressure). That said, my compliments to the author for a refreshingly smooth-flowing style. The story was a pleasure to read, notwithstanding what I consider its structural problems. (8/10)
