Since 2001 hundreds of North Koreans have fled the Stalinist regime in power in Pyongyang seeking refuge in the South by making their way into foreign Embassies and other diplomatic missions in China's capital.China has signed a treaty with North Korea whereby North Korean fugitives would be repatriated. Many fear they will be captured and sent home to serve a life sentence in one of North Korea's notorious prison camps, where inmates are reportedly experimented on with chemicals, starved or shot, and specialy young and beautifull women are engaged in forced prostitution by the North Korean government ,trained for about 20 months while they must have sex with male high-ranking party officials, and often ordered to marry guards or national heroes . These crimes were frequently part of a pattern in which these women were raped after they had witnessed the torture and killings of their relatives. Violent abuse starts from the moment they are repatriated in high officials rape apartments near the border, from where the women are then moved to prison camps further away to work as sex slaves. Their services are not available to most North Korean men but only to party members,.
