“Do you have any friends or boyfriends that could come over for a week or so?” he asked

“I don’t have a boyfriend or anything, have a few friends but most work at the same time as me” she replied

“If you want I could possibly stop by while you are at work and feed her if you’d like” He suggested

“Oh, you’d really you’d do that for us?!” Emily said surprised and excitedly

“Sure, you are pretty close to where I live so should be hard to stop in during my lunch break or something.  I might even have a coworker or two I could persuade to come help out as well.” He said with a little smirk
