The combination of 'Book of Evils' and 'Target Practice' should warn the innocent bystander that this here tale isn't about throwing snowballs at empty beercans, nor the final half hour before the 'World Darts Championship'...
Still, I was a tad let down by the story. Sure, it is very well written with lots of witty and even funny dialogues and musings.
But I just don't like going along for the ride when there's a maniac at the wheel. And I don't mean the author, but his lead creation.
Still, I feel Book of Evils did a great job and that we can honestly say he's an accomplished writer.

Decent. Here are the two points that got it an 8 instead of a 10.
1.) It's just too slow in my opinion. I found myself skimming just to get back to "the good stuff."
2.) You didn't add 'snuff' in the story codes. Snuff is a huge turn-off to me, and although I generally wouldn't ding a story for being what it said it was, you didn't say it was snuff. Every time death was mentioned all the eroticism went straight out the door for me.
What brought it back up to a 9, however, was the inclusion of the pictures. Very nice touch. (9/10)

The omission of the 'murder' code was an oversight on my part. I'll be more careful in the future.
I gave your comment about the 'eroticism' being destroyed when murder was mentioned, some thought and I'm not sure I'm striving to create eroticism. I'm seeking to convey realism, like a factual, first person, account. It is meant to be told so that the reader can live moment by moment, second by second, the events being portrayed, thus the snail's pace of the story telling. Now unfortunately, for a few days more, I did a re-post of the story, correcting some spelling and some slight plot inconsistencies, and the print size and layout are not what I wanted or sent in. I have gone back to the moderator and asked that he post the story in three parts so that the readability of the script is vastly improved.
That said, The whole idea is that you not skim to get to the good parts, but that you know for sure, as you become more familiar with my stories, that they are coming, but what will they be. What novel perversion?
Anyhow, I'm still quite pleased with the rating you afforded it and I like the picture touch also. It allows your imagination to focus on a specific victim.
Along that vein, I'm in the process of completing a new story, 'Extremities, An Alternate Ending', whereby I've posted (allowable) pictures on MySpace and FaceBook that tie into the victims of the new tale. If you feel so inclined, try to read this story when it's up and let me know what you think of the photos, and, of course, the story. But be forewarned, it's also paced with death components.

Many, many years ago, Walter Cronkite hosted a TV show called 'You are there.' That is what my, and I love your word, torturous pacing is meant to achieve. Like a moment by moment account.

I am usually not a fan of mutilation tales. This one is done in a slightly different way that does sizzle.

First and foremost, thanks for the excellent rating. It's most encouraging. I have just posted a slight revision of the (rather long) tale correcting a few items which rendered my first posting a little less 'professional' than it could have been. It got drawn out over so many weeks to complete, I got a little sloppy, and excuses are just that, excuses. Anyhow, thanks again and if you're looking for some equally twisted reading, delve into some of my previous yarns. (and possibly review them also)

Extreme sickness, violence and highly charged erotica, virtually entirely mapped out in dialogue. Be warned that if you do not enjoy the darkest of dark sides, then this story will scare the hell out of you. This is a story, as many by BofE are, where language supplants action, and where the almost telepathic level of communication between the rapist and victim takes the story to realms that are beyond reality, and also beyond standard erotica. (10/10)

Many thanks for the sterling review you afforded my latest effort. You are one of the few reviewers (and there are some others) who critique with intelligence and detail which clearly indicates you have taken the time to absorb the story's content and haven't just skimmed it. I suppose the best observation I can make about your observations is, 'Some get it, and some don't. You clearly get it.'
